I visited the City of Alamogordo Brackish Water Treatment Facility in Alamogordo, NM on October 29th, 2019. It is a brand-new brackish groundwater desalination facility with a capacity of 1 million gallons per day (MGD), which can be expanded to 4 MGD. There are two RO skids. An evaporation pond will be used in conjunction with the city’s wastewater treatment plant for RO concentrate disposal.
